Accounting Clerk (1YR Contract)

Job Scope
The Accounting Clerk will assist with filing documents, administrative duties and accounting duties such as currency conversion and inventory sales data entry. 

  • Manage staff motor vehicle allowance including new request, increase limit and documentation;
  • Manage uniform benefits;
  • Manage staff postpaid cell phone accounts, claims, queries and new request;
  • Manage advance gas cards account, new card requests and adjustment to billing;
  • Manage expatriates annual flight benefit;
  • Assist with posting customer bills;
  • Currency conversions for customer bills and supplier bills;
  • Check and correct inventory item IDs;
  • Adjust selling prices;
  • Assist with posting monthly inventory sales to projects;
  • Maintain vendor files by filing paid invoices;
  • Maintain taxation and company document files;
  • Manage telephone calls;
  • Assist office visitors;
  • Completion of any forms with company information;
  • Maintain current official documents;
  • Assist with external requests.

  • Minimum of one year in a similar role or;
  • Students currently enrolled in a University pursuing a degree in Accounting/Business Administration;
  • CXC passes in Mathematics, Principles of Accounts and Information Technology preferred;
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
