Restaurant Team Lead

The Restaurant Team Lead reports to the leader for a daily shift; he/she acts as front of house serving customers and is the lead for the back of house. The Restaurant Team Lead creates a service atmosphere, enforces standards, and is the Lead Point of Contact for customers and staff. He/she follows procedures, maintains the consistency of service levels, entertainment activities, staff standards and morale.

  1. Perform Open and Closing Procedures, ensuring each task is completed and documented.
  2. Greets and serves Customers taking and fulfilling orders utilizing Customer Service standards. Serves dine-in and take-out orders, including telephone orders.
  3. Check off and balance till, tips, bar, and take-out boxes after each shift.
  4. Orders back of house food and supplies from procurement.
  5. Completes daily shift reports and assists with staff training.
  6. Enforces staff schedule, calling in for replacement staff when needed, and noting lateness, absences, and disciplinary issues.
  7. Handles service complaints and sends escalations to Hospitality manager.
  8. Notifies Manager of issues with equipment, facilities, vendors, and staff and works with him/her to resolve.
  9. Runs promotions, entertainment/activities including movies games, and billiards, encouraging guest participation.
  10. Solicits social media engagement from guests on a regular basis. Shares pictures and videos with Social Media Manager.
  11. Works closely with Hospitality manager on special events and projects, and coordinates his/her activities with other Shift supervisors.
  1. Valid Food Handler’s permit and Police Record Check
  2. Two written references
  3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Service within a Restaurant setting
  4. Proficiency using POS system and audio visual equipment
  5. Outgoing, friendly personality; Leadership skills and professional demeanor.
