HR Manager, B.P.O.
The Human Resource (HR) Manager is responsible for executing human resources functions to support and improve daily operations. The HR Manager works in partnership with all other departments within the company to deliver HR strategic business goals and initiatives. In this role, you manage the company’s relationship with its employees, taking a hands-on approach to achieve a better dynamic across the organization and minimize attrition. In managing employee relations, the incumbent will be responsible for recruitment and hiring, communicating Human Resources policies and make strategic recommendations, assisting in the company’s continued growth and development.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Recruitment and Selection: advertising jobs, shortlisting candidates, interviewing and hiring among other recruiting related activities;
  • Manages the onboarding process and orientation of new hires;
  • Assists in the training and development of new hires;
  • Responsible for all benefits administration;
  • Responsible for company’s compliance as it relates to onboarding requirements, labour relations practices and Ministry of Health protocols;
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures; assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, HR systems and keeps track of employees’ performance;
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records, ensuring data integrity and compiles reports from database as needed;
  • Assists with writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organizational values;
  • Facilitates HR Training for employees on relevant HR content, as needed;
  • Manages the separation process to include meetings, preparing letters, exit interviews etc.;
  • Handles conflicts and oversees the disciplinary process by providing guidance to department managers and supervisors, conducting Disciplinary Hearings;
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law;
  • Serves as an expert in relation to laws governing equal employment opportunity and human rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations and advises managers accordingly;
  • Manage organizational and company culture.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in Human Resources operations at the management level. Experience in the BPO industry is an asset;
  • Experience managing HRIS systems;
  • Strong knowledge of Jamaican Labour Laws;
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or relating field is required. Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered;
  • Proven ability to engage employees, enhance morale, and job satisfaction;
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Windows; strength in associated office productivity software tools, MS Office (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to execute on projects from inception through to completion;
  • Methodical approach, detail oriented, highly organized, and strong communication and time management skills.
