Bookkeeper- Part Time (Remote)

Bookkeepe- Part Time (Remote)

The Bookkeeper will oversee the client’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. You will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develops system to account for financial transactions; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures;
  • Reconcile books monthly (Xero and Scotiabank Online Statements);
  • Email suppliers to reconcile AR/AP;
  • Prepare cheques for bi-weekly processing in Quickbooks;
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents;
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field;
  • Previous bookkeeping experience preferred;
  • Experience in working with legal entities would be an asset.
