Job Scope
The Operations Manager at a Petroleum Terminal is responsible for overseeing all daily terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and distribution of petroleum products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate terminal operations, including receipt, storage, and dispatch of petroleum products.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in terminal activities.
- Lead, train, and supervise operational staff to maintain high performance and morale.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and coordinate with logistics teams for timely deliveries.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and minimise risk.
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and equipment failures, ensuring effective resolution and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports for management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in terminal operations or petroleum industry.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Proficient in operational systems and inventory management software.
- Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills.
