Category Service Manager (Sales and Marketing)
The Category Service Manager is responsible for increasing non-food sales and profitability to drive sustainable growth, analyze data and/or insights to determine categories trends. Create and develop a strategic long-term plan adapted to each market, as well as lead negotiations with partners vendors, to improve pricing and quality of services.

Responsibilities
  • Area of responsibility: High involvement markets;
  • Become a leader in category ranging, pricing, and promotions across channels;
  • Create and developing a strategic long-term plan for the development of the categories;
  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product and category;
  • Build and drive relationships with key vendors to improve pricing and quality of service;
  • Create programs and processes aimed at improving the quality of products and service by reviewing customer perception research;
  • Ensure all aspects of new and existing product offerings are positioned to maximize value;
  • Gather and analyze competitive promotions, pricing and product positioning and compare with our stores category expectations and performance;
  • Develop all operational systems, processes and training materials required for an effective rollout of new products;
  • Communicate with all departments to ensure effective implementation of marketing programs;
  • Support Retail Sales Executives and Retailers in the implementation of layouts and POG.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales Management, Marketing;
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience at the management level;
  • Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data;
  • Experience and working knowledge of the category management process;
  • Understands the retail and wholesale environment and can identify significant competitive issues;
  • Desire and ability to work in fast-paced environment and be part of a high-performance team;
  • Demonstrated persuasion skills;
  • Results –focused;
  • Sound judgment and decision-making;
  • Strategic Planning – ability to comprehend and design a category strategy;
  • Negotiation Skills – ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
