Human Resource Officer- Part Time

Human Resource Officer- Part Time
The Human Resources (HR) Officer serves as the primary HR contact for the assigned region or client(s) and is responsible to execute human resources functions to support and improve daily operations. 
The HR Officer works in partnership with other site locations to deliver HR strategic business goals and initiatives.

 Responsibilities
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures; assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, HR systems, and performance management;
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records, ensuring data integrity and compiles reports from database as needed;
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies;
  • Assist with writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organizational values;
  • Lead the administration, and vendor negotiations on behalf of the client and partner with Payroll on improvement projects and initiatives to ensure employee satisfaction;
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness;
  • Facilitate HR Training for managers and employees on relevant HR content, as needed;
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems;
  • Manages the onboarding process and orientation of new hires;
  • Reviews payroll hours for employees then submits to Payroll Team;
  • Provides regular reports on Human Resource metrics and KPIs to Department Manager and participates in various business reviews with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Participates in client events and activities to support employee engagement and inclusion;
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance;
  • Serves as an expert in relation to laws governing equal employment opportunity and human rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations and advises client and managers accordingly.
Key Competencies
  • Digital Systems and Data management - Manage data in HRMS system and ticketing system as well as write Reports;
  • HR Functional Expertise - compensation and benefits, compliance with policy development, enforcement and discipline, Performance Management, Training and Employee Engagement Management (run the survey, analyze and present data);
  • Relationship Management – manage client relations as well as coach employees and managers;
  • Managing Activities – Event and activity planning, onboarding activities.

 Requirements
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in Human Resources operations is required;
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or relating field is required. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered;
  • Ability to handle confidential material; must demonstrate high levels of integrity and trustworthiness;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to work collaboratively with individuals from other departments;
  • Proven ability to engage employees, enhance morale, and job satisfaction;
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Windows; strength in associated office productivity software tools, MS Office (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to execute on projects from inception through to completion;
  • Methodical approach, detail-oriented, highly organized, and strong time management skills.
