Collections Manager
  • Ensure his/her staff is meeting production goals, complying with company standards, Mediation and Arbitration laws and generally performing the essential functions of their position.
  • Input data and creating spreadsheets showing the progress of his/her staff efforts to recover debts that have been charged off.  He/She will be speaking with individuals who wish to speak with a supervisor and for approving and allowing settlements and payment options.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in collecting overdue payments. The Junior Manager will review delinquent account records to assess team members compliance.
  • Organize collection work load and assign accounts to each collectors.
  • Write letters or approve form letters for use in collection attempts.
  • Authorize or refer accounts to Project Manager for repossession and legal actions against debtors.
  • Assist subordinates with collection activities in difficult cases.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of clerical workers in related activities.
  • Exercise a high level of emotional intelligence while managing and motivating the team to meet their goals

•       Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•       Two (2) years of continuous, third party experience in  collections at a managerial level (supervising over 50 FTE).
•       Knowledge of high volume collections, credit authorization and billing procedures and practices.
•       Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
•       Requirements may include but are not limited to specific training or coaching needs.
